THE WELFARE MINISTRY
The Welfare ministry at Golden Arena’s purpose is to build the family of God by:
- Ensuring that a sense of belonging and caring community exists among the members of the congregation
- Being especially vigilant to see that newcomers and new members are fully incorporated into the life and work of the church
- Promoting opportunities for fellowship, recreation and leisure among members of the congregation.
The ministry consists of the following teams:
Hospitality Team – the meeters & greeters which strive to make Golden Arena a warm and welcoming place of worship
Visitation & Follow-up Team – this team is involved in hospital, nursing home and home-bound visitations.
New-born Team – those who celebrate with the families as they welcome a new little one into their family
Needy Support Team – they lead the process of providing assistance to the needy within the church.
